I cannot guarantee that this is a problem with Event List 0.8.0 but have noticed it in the last few days.
All the Events on our site now have 5 separate copies. All appear identical (except the Permalink) including the date/time of publication.
    Any ideas??

    Thanks, Tony

Probably an issue with the update. Perhaps the update function ran several times. But an issue like this was not reported by someone else.
There are some problems with older PHP-versions in the new version, but I don’t think that is the issue here, but to be sure:
    Which PHP-version do you use?

    Hello,
The server is running PHP 5.6.33
It does seem to be a one-off problem, but if several people were reporting it then it would be worth investigating further.
    Thank you, Tony

I get the same problem running WordPress 4.9.2/PHP7.1 – solved by going back to the previous version of Event List. I also have a widget on my front page that uses Event List to display the next three upcoming events and unexpectedly see an image from an event in it, which causes the widget to overflow the area and mess up the page – again solved by going back to the previous version. Hello,
I don’t get the problem with images, and can now create new events (at least on one trial) without replication.
In other words, after deleting the unwanted duplicates it seems to be working OK.

I cannot reproduce this issue, but perhaps it is a problem of multiple site calls during the upgrade is running. I will add an upgrade trigger that will avoid multiple starts of the upgrade in the next version.

I doubt if there were five hits on my site during the update – the traffic is fairly low. Also if the two known cases both have 5 repeats that looks a bit more systematic?
As I say not a problem for me at present, but any safeguards during a future upgrade obviously welcome.

For the next version I have added some additional checks to hopefully avoid event duplicates during upgrade.
