    Dears,

I have freshly re-installed Events Manager. I want to set it up for my website and I am testing it. The issue is, that I want to allow anonymus people to submit event, but I want to review it and the post. Somehow all events posted by anonymous or logged user are posted on the webpage. I tried to be logged of, in incognito mode, in different browser, in differnt computer. All events posted have status ‘published’.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

And now – somehow, when I open page to add events, when I am not logged into WP (or in incognito mode of browser) – I have access denied.

Yesterday I was posting events and ALL of them where already posted to webpage.

How to setup the Event Manager to allow anonymus to submit event and it should be with the status to review?

I have attached screens of my settings.

    Events list: https://mazurskiewydarzenia.pl/wydarzenia/

Here’s how I did it. I created a new user called Anonymous and wrote down the user id of this new user. I created a role called EventsGuest and assigned the Anonymous user the EventGuest role. In Events Manager settings under the General tab I clicked on User Capabilities and gave the EventsGuest role the Edit Events capability. Under Anonymous Events Submissions I set it to allow anonymous event submissions and set the userid of the Anonymous user. I created a publicly accessible page with the [event_form] shortcode. Non logged in users can then submit events but they require the administrator to publish the event.

Thank you a lot joneiseman! Can you advise me, how to create a role? Where is it?

You can use the User Role plugin or the Members plugin to add new roles.

You are GENIUS! Thank you! <3 It seems to be working now…

But, do you also know, which role should be chosen to allow anonymus to post their location? I don’t want them to pick it from the list, but type down their own location.

Add the “Edit Location” capability to the role.
