All counts showing as 0

    Hi there,

    We’ve migrated a website to a new server and suddenly all sharing counts are showing as 0. The website URL and permalink structure is identical – pretty much the only thing that’s changed is the server IP.

    I was wondering if anyone might have any insight into this and how we may be able to resolve it?!

    I migrated a customer and the exact same thing happened to a site using Simple Share Buttons. We can, however, record new counts, but it appears as though they eventually go back to 0.

    Most of the plugin’s sharecount functions use the file_get_contents() function to fetch data.
    Check your php.ini file, if allow_url_fopen setting is enabled, or contact your provider to do so.
    For security reasons, many hosting providers disable it by default.

    Hey there,
    we’ve got the same problem with facebook. When the Plugin was activated, the FB count showed, now it’s set to 0. The allow_url_fopen is enabled and the other counts are showing correctly. Any other suggestions?
