All content in Posts Table starts with text strings from Shariff sharing buttons

I’m sorry to hear you’re having difficulty with the snippets in the content column starting with content added by another plugin in the posts table on your site. Thanks for getting in touch so we can help you sort it out. I’m glad to hear our plugin works fine on your site, despite your having over 4,400 posts on it.

Please note that our plugin merely displays the posts data values that you tell it to in its columns. In this case, you’ve told the posts table to display the post content column and so that’s exactly what it’s doing.

You’re correct that the unwanted text/words are from the social sharing buttons that have been added to the start of the post content by the Shariff Wrapper social sharing buttons plugin you’re using. You can also see the buttons displayed at the start/top of the post content when you visit the single post pages of the posts displayed in the table.

Hence I hope you’ll understand that our plugin is merely displaying the correct post content snippet.

My suggestions are to:

• Check the Shariff Wrapper plugin’s settings if it has an option to display its social share buttons at the end of the post content, rather than the beginning/start/top.
• Use a different social share plugin that gives you the above option or perhaps an option to not display the share buttons for the posts you’ve listed in the posts table.
• Use our Posts Table Pro version, which allows you the option to display a post excerpt column instead of the main post content column where the other plugin has added the display of the unwanted buttons/text (see: Available columns).

Hi there, thanks a lot for your explanation! That was very understandable.

One more question please: I do have noticed that the free version is limited to 1000 entries. At https://barn2.com/kb/posts-table-free-pro-comparison/ this limit is not mentioned. If we buy the pro version, can it search all posts on our page (4429 and growing)?

There is no limit to the number of posts, pages, or custom post types that you can display using Posts Table Pro, albeit if you’ll be displaying a large number, I strongly suggest you enable/use the Lazy Load option for the best performance.
