All comments appear as Anonymous even for registered users

    On the page https://www.objetivosaludable.com I’ve got an installation of WordPress. The error is that any comments on any post show as Anonymous. When I access the admin site I can see the emails and everything. However even if I change the name there, it will stll come up as anonymous.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

    Some of the solutions you gave I had already tried, but it happened to be an old plugin from an old theme that was (as you said “apparently”) inactive. I deleted it and now it works. I didn’t think that it could be causing the problem being inactive… ^.^’
