    Hi,

For some reason all of the codes i saved have been lost, i’m not sure how that happened. Has this happened for anyone else? if so, is there a way to recover it. What is the name and directory of the file that saves all the embed codes and respective URLs so I can call my hosting company and ask them to restore that file from a backed up copy a month ago?

    Thanks

The embed code, as you know, is stores as a custom field – custom fields are one of the core features of WordPress. They are stored on the wp_postmeta table.

thank you! i checked the database table and all the data still exists. for some reason the plugin stopped working then because in the post Custom Fields box there is no option for the artiss code embed anymore. Even when going to the search function of the plugin and typing a value which exists in the database table, it says value does not exist. anyone have this issue? i have no added any other new plugins that could have interferred. im running jetpack 2.0.4 (that plugin is garbage it interferes with something every update they do…so it hasnt been updated), and the last thing i updated was wp-quiz pro plugin. could that have interfered with your plugin?

    thanks

Possible. If it’s in the table but not appearing when viewing the post then there’s a definite issue there with your WordPress installation. I’d try disabling the quiz plugin to see if the functionality returns.
