In a form there’s a checkbox field with two options (checkboxes) and I have it set to ‘required’ under settings.

The form submits with only one of these checkboxes checked. Can I make it so that both checkboxes must be checked?

    thanks,

    Hi @ratamatcat

I hope you’re well today and thank you for your question!

if it’s a single checkbox-type field, just with multiple options (checkboxes) it will be considered as “filled-in” if any checkbox will be checked – one of them, some of them or all of them. If there are two options (checkboxes) then it’s sufficient enough to check one of them and Forminator will let it through. It will only block submission if none of checkboxes is checked.

The way to force more than one checkbox to be required to be checked is to use multiple “checkbox-type” files so instead of using one field with two checkboxes you’d need to put two separate checkbox fields on the form, each with one checkbox – and set both these fields as “required”.

    Best regards,
