• I went looking for a blog post today to send to someone and all the pages of my blog are blank, including wp-login.php. I’ve also tried cached links to individual posts and they are all blank and there is no page source. I noticed about a month ago when looking at various log files that someone was trying to access xmlrpc.php (unsuccessfully, but I don’t remember what the error was). This seemed uncalled for so I renamed it but didn’t delete it.

I haven’t posted anything in a long time, and also haven’t updated the software in quite a long time (I know, very bad) so this doesn’t seem like some incompatibility that has come from something being updated.

I deleted and re-uploaded wp-login to no avail, and checked the .htaccess file (though I’m not getting any error). Any idea what could be wrong?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • This is the “White Screen of Death”. Something is getting an error and so no output is generated. You can start by renaming the plugins folder to see if that fixes it, but there should be an error_log file somewhere on your server which would indicate what is failing.

Thank you! I put in some echos and tracked it down.
