After doing several plugin, theme, and wordpress core update (3.9.1) my site is ALL CRAZY!

I’m having problems with SEVERAL things, and this plugin was one of them. I thought, “oh, it’s okay, at least I have my backups”

I have them synced to a drop box folder on my desktop. I open that folder and all my backups have been deleted. I didn’t do it, so I have to assume this is an error within wordpress.

All my files are still accessible through the dashboard, and I was able to save two of them through the “cache” folder, but what’s going on here?

    Anyone else experience this??

    Thanks.

    Hi Tillie,

Try Dropbox directly – https://www.dropbox.com – it may be that the sync application on your PC is malfunctioning.

Also look in wp-content/updraft on your website; that will have any backups that did not get sent to Dropbox, and will also have logs to show interactions with Dropbox.

    Here’s the latest.
    The dropbox.com is empty.
The dropbox on the desktop is empty,
dropbox.cache is where i was able to save two backups from.

However, there are backups available directly via the wordpress dashboard.
and via ftp in the folder you specified.

I’m just worried because they were removed from dropbox. How? Why? By who?

lol, in good spirits, this is just ONE of MANY problems I’m facing after doing updates yesterday.

Thank you so much for responding.

    Hi,

I’m just worried because they were removed from dropbox. How? Why? By who?

I don’t think it’s possible to know this from here… UpdraftPlus only deletes past backups after a successful new backup … you can read about its activities in the log files in wp-content/updraft in your WordPress install to confirm what it’s attempted to delete.
