All backups are downloading within a size limit: are they incomplete?

    I backed up my site and each file was recorded as 400 MB when the process was complete. When I downloaded it though, the download started with showing 400 MB files but each download concluded (successfully) at exactly 257 MB.

    This doesn’t make any sense. Could there be weird sever limits I am not aware of?

    Hi,

    In the Settings >> show expert settings there is an option to “split archives every”

    The default limit is 400 MB but this can be changed.

    The split limit sets the maximum file size for your archives split. Your split limit is the default value.

    This is entirely normal and nothing to worry about. It is extremely likely your backup will restore (I would need to see your log file to confirm this)

    The behaviour you are seeing is normal
