Hi there, I’ve been trying my darnedest to get Google Plus avatars to work with my site using the Jetpack Comments. Facebook comments work without issue, but the G+ commenters all see only the default gravatar image as configured by the main settings. Usually these are links that, when clicked, take to a page saying “We’re sorry, we couldn’t find that profile.”

I’m using the Twenty-Eleven theme, unmodified for now while I work through these technical issues. Any assistance would be very welcome.

    Thanks!

Okay now this is getting weird. Seems SOME G+ commenters have their avatars shown, but others not. What the heck is going on…

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

It could be that these commenters have chosen not to make their profile picture public; it might be restricted to specific circles, for example.

Could you point me to one of the posts where you experience the issue, so I can take a closer look?

Thanks for the response. I just submitted to that link now as well, including the link to my site.

Thing is, one of the users seeing the problem is Me. I’ve dug through my entire privacy settings on G+, and am unable to find anything about “making a profile picture private.” I wish I could, then this would maybe make more sense.
