All 404 Pages Are Redirecting To Home Page

    Hi All!

    First of all, I have created many WordPress sites but never have encountered this issue.
    As the title says, any kind of 404 URL is redirecting me back to the homepage, which it should not.

    I tried: Disabling All Plugins and Themes, but no luck.
    Safe Mode, no luck.
    – Also this is a fresh multisite wordpress install.

    So anything like /404/ is redirecting me to homepage.com/
    You can test the URL above given (Hidden and please keep it hidden ??

    It may due to (1) a Plugin (2) or a custom code.

    Try deactivating ALL (yes all) plugins temporarily to see if this resolves the problem (plugin functions can interfere). If this works, re-activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s).

    If that does not resolve the issue, then check for a custom code in files such as functions.php, etc. in your active theme.

    Sir if you have might missed I said I deactivated all plugins and used default wordpress theme Twenty Twenty with no modifications, as said a fresh install of Softaculous

    Well Well Well, topic can be deleted.
    That was a wordpress issue.

    What I did, just turned on my debugging from wp-config.php and then found that there was dozen of errors in wp-includes.
    So I just reinstalled my wordpress and now everything is great.

    Installation Issue by Softaculous.
    Resolved.

    Yes, just left out the solution, in case someone else might encounter this issue.
    Best (what I did) is to reinstall wordpress, everything will be fine.
