Align text in Visual Editor dosen’t work

  • Hi,
    I’m a web developer and have many websites. I have noticed that in all of them the align text buttons in Visual Editor don’t work. Since WordPress 4.9.4 to 4.9.6. I have tried with different themes and plugins, a clean installation with twenty seventeen Theme and doesn’t work.

    Can anybody help me with this?

  • Can you share a link to an example where the text isn’t aligning the way it was in the editor?

    There is no way to see it. When I click button to align center or right, nothing happens. If I change to HTML editor, there is no style applied (<p>..</p>).

    I have seen an error each time I press any of these buttons:

    Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘toLowerCase’ of undefined VM663:352

    In the file:
    …
    if (tagName.toLowerCase() == ‘a’) {
    …
