Alexandria theme upgrade broke my website!!!

    I just upgraded to the latest Alexandria theme 2.4.6 and it broke my website. I am also using Theme Alley’s “Bron” child theme. My website is no longer functioning. After the upgrade I get the following error message when trying to access my website https://extraordinarytrading.com

    Fatal error: Can’t use function return value in write context in /home3/yolanda/public_html/extraordinarytrading.com/wp-content/themes/alexandria/header.php on line 46

    I am going to switch to another theme for now just so that my website is functioning again.

    This just happened to me. I tried to update Alexandria to version 2.4.6 with the same resulting fatal error message. Luckily, I had backed up my site using UpdraftPlus and I was able to restore my site. I will have to stick with version 2.4.5 for now, which has not been updated for months. I like the Alexandria theme, but it may be time to find a new theme.

    No response yet. I wonder if there is a way to pull this theme update since it is making websites unusable?

    A child theme update was released today for ‘Bron’, but I don’t trust using it.
