Album Sorting

  • I have many albums on a smugmug account, which I want to display using the Photonic plugin. Unfortunately Photonic only seems to allow for sorting by created or last updated date. Is it possible to somehow sort by album title instead?

    SmugMug’s API does not allow for sorting by name – the only methods provided are the ones that Photonic includes. Take a look at the documentation page, by expanding on Options → Parameters → Get.

    It is also not advisable to sort in memory, due to performance issues and practical difficulties.

    The only way to get around this is to use a SmugMug folder, then set the folder options to sort alphabetically by name, then in Photonic, display the albums in the folder.

    @sayontan Is this also the reason why photographs within a gallery cannot be sorted by filename?

    I’ve seen helpful tips from you about jetpack.
    Could you tell me why I can’t have shortcode embed in comments? I can only have on posts.
    I can however use [vimeo 12345] as a comment and it will generate html code to create a video.
    When I try for example [flickr video=2402990826] it just stays like that, same for daily motion

    I have no clue about Jetpack. Please post in the forum for Jetpack and someone can help you. I am the author of Photonic and can only help you regarding that.
