Akismet Won't Upgrade

  • I am fairly new to WordPress and my site https://www.appletechtalk.com has only been live for about two weeks.

    I got a message today that my Akismet plug-in has an update available (3.1.4).

    I tried to run the update and it failed saying “Update Failed: The update cannot be installed because we will be unable to copy some files. This is usually due to inconsistent file permissions.”.

    I have updated several other plug-in in the past few days without issue.

    Any idea where I look and how to resolve that issue?
