Akismet vs WordPress

    Hi

    I get some spam comments on my blog, although WordPress detects these as spam and doesn’t publish these.

    What is the more value of Akismet if the spam comments are not published?

    It automatically marks comments from known spammers as spam and auto-deletes them after x days.
