• I’d like to use wordpress mu to manage 6-8 small blogs, but apparently I won’t be eligible for akismet licenses (I’d need to buy an enterprise license).

So I have a choice. Upgrade to MU, but rely on third party plugins for managing spam or maintain 6-8 separate wordpress installations?

Akismet has worked well on my personal blog, but I have no idea whether the other spam plugins work. One of my partner’s blogs use spam karma 2, with some small problems.

Does anyone have a sense of whether other spam plugins have done a decent job in a MU environment?

  • Really should be asking this on the MU forums. We’ve talked about it many times over over there.

But to answer the question, we usually sugget Bad Behavior and I believe someone released a better version (ie it doesn’t give all of teh options to the end users) for the Mu platform.
