Akismet – Unable to reach some Akismet servers

  • Hi.

    The last few days my Akismet plugin says its got problems reaching the Akismet servers: “Unable to reach some Akismet servers”, “Network Status = Obstructed”.

    Does anyone know what this is and is there anything I can do to fix it? Or should I just hope that it goes away after a few more days?

    I haven’t had any problems connecting with Akismet’s servers lately. There might be something on your hosting provider’s end that may be preventing the connection.

    Hi Macmanx, thanks for reply.

    I have used my Akismet API key on several blogs, also for some clients and its the same problem on all those blogs. They are hosted on different servers/companies.

    Besides, its been working fine for a long time, so it should be strange if it stopped working all of a sudden…
