Akismet no longer working

  • Recently, Akismet stopped blocking spam and now everything is just going into the moderation queue. The Akismet configuration page says my API key is valid and that all four Akismet servers are being reached successfully. My settings for Akismet have not recently changed and this just seems to have randomly happened.

    Same thing here. Configuration panel says all is good and the stats page says Akismet is blocking spam, but in reality I’m catching the spam and then marking it as such. Not too big of a deal since I have to approve all comments, but it’s still annoying.

    I’m having the exact same problem. All spam comments go into my queue and I have to manually flag them as spam. I get several each day, so it’s time consuming and frustrating.

    Has anyone found a solution for this problem?

    Yeah, and I have that problem, too.

    This morning, I enter my wp-admin and I got more than 170 comments at my moderation queue, and all of that are spams!

    I see my Akismet menu and it looks fine. But why Akismet allowed that another 170 spams?

    I’ve switched to Mollom, and I’ve had ZERO spam get through since. I prefer Akismet, since it’s made by the folks who created WordPress, but it simply isn’t working for me.

    Another chiming in that Akismet has been missing much more than normal, even though the stats disagree.
