    Wordfence scan alerted me to a changed file in the Akismet plugin folder. It was an .htaccess file (although Wordfence reported it was changelog.txt). Nothing else had been altered. The contents are:

    # Only allow direct access to specific Web-available files.

    # Apache 2.2
    <IfModule !mod_authz_core.c>
    	Order Deny,Allow
    	Deny from all
    </IfModule>

    # Apache 2.4
    <IfModule mod_authz_core.c>
    	Require all denied
    </IfModule>

    # Akismet CSS and JS
    <FilesMatch "^(form\.js|akismet\.js|akismet\.css)$">
    	<IfModule !mod_authz_core.c>
    		Allow from all
    	</IfModule>

    	<IfModule mod_authz_core.c>
    		Require all granted
    	</IfModule>
    </FilesMatch>

    # Akismet images
    <FilesMatch "^logo-full-2x\.png$">
    	<IfModule !mod_authz_core.c>
    		Allow from all
    	</IfModule>

    	<IfModule mod_authz_core.c>
    		Require all granted
    	</IfModule>
    </FilesMatch>

    I assume some other plugin did it (I’ve been experimenting with cache plugins). Is this OK?
