ajaxurl not found after WordPress 4.4 upgrade

  • Hello,

    I just upgraded my wordpress software and can no longer create a post in the current theme I’m using. I’ve located the problem, the error states that the ajaxurl is not defined. Is there something I can do to correct this? Do I need to reinstall wordpress? Thanks!

  • It doesnt seems problem with wp version, you can try disabling all plugins and check by activating one by one if it resolves this issue.

    Hi johncgreenwood, I have upgraded my wordpress 4.4 software on couple of my sites and there is no such issue. Is your site theme responsive? Please note it is important all wordpress theme to be responsive nowadays.
    above feedback from member swayam.tejwani (above) also make sense.

    That’s good to hear. Yes, the site is responsive – using theme.co’s XTheme platform. I’ve discussed it with them as well, and they are unable to reproduce the error locally on their machines….
