Ajax search not working

    Hi, I’m running this plugin on several websites. All are encountering the same error: that the AJAX function does not work. When ajax search settings are set up, the search submit button leads to the default theme search results template/page. No results load in real-time as a user types. This happens regardless of the form embedded (e.g. default, custom and ajax all encounter the same issue). Do you know how I can resolve this issue?

    I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.

    I tested it on your website and saw this is happening because a javascript error is occurring on your website causing the issue as displayed in the below screenshots.

    This can be a theme issue used on your site so to confirm it just temporarily use the Twenty Twenty theme on your site. If everything works fine then it’s your site theme issue.

    Also, this can be due to plugin conflict on your site so please try temporarily deactivating all plugins except the Ivory Search plugin and see whether everything works fine and then enable the plugins one by one to see which plugin is conflicting if any.

    Thanks for your reply.

    I’ve removed the JS error and the Ivory Search Ajax search function is still not loading.

    Can you explain why it was working and then suddenly stopped? That’s the most confusing thing to me. The error is currently occurring on 20+ different sites. All with different themes and plugin configurations. It was working on all of them, then suddenly stopped..

    I deactivated all plugins and tried the plugin on a fresh wp instal with no plugins in 2020 and the error still occurs.

    I also cleared my browsing history each time.

    Can you confirm that this functionality is still viable and indeed working, do you have a live demo of a site that’s using it currently (and it working as expected)?

    I have tested it on my test site and it’s working fine for me using the latest version of the Ivory Search plugin.

    It also works fine on our demo website below.

    I can see the plugin AJAX javascript and CSS files are not loading on your website.

    I am not sure why this is happening on your website.

    Do you have any staging or development website where we can troubleshoot the issue?

    If yes then could you please share your staging website URL and make sure that you use Twenty Twenty theme on it deactivating all other plugins except the Ivory Search plugin?
