Ajax Search Lite not working using Search icon in menu?

  • Hi ya,
    I have the Meteorite theme (free) and it (or WP in general) puts a search magnifying glass in the menu.

    Click on it, and it shows a search box.

    If I install Ajax Search Lite it appears to do absolutely nothing regarding that search box.

    Unless I turn on the option “Try to replace the theme search with Ajax Search Lite form?” to replace the current search box. But then it shows a orange, tiny box that I can’t even type into…

    This seems very strange.

    But is this a known issue? Do I need to tweak a setting?

    Hi,

    There is probably a theme related stylesheet code that may affect the layout of the search field. Can you please post a link to a page where the issue is visible?
    If it is only a styling issue, I might be able to suggest a custom CSS code to override the issue.
