• I have installed and activated the plugin AJAX Quick Subscribe on my site and placed the widget on my static home page – https://yellowdoors.co/WordPress2/ . The widget shows whete I placed it and seems to let me add email addresses as new subscribers but when I test it by adding a post and then checking the emails, no notices arrive. I read the documentation for the plugin and installed as directed. I also uninstalled and reinstalled it. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make this work? Or, is there a betten plugin I should try?
    Thank you,
    Kathy

  • I have the same problem at Brankk.org/wordpress/
One subscriber, who uses Google to keep up with blogs she reads gets the notification in her reader but also does not receive the email.

My experience is exactly the same as Kathjfir’s. I installed it this morning and so far have not been able to get it to notify anyone even after posting several new blog posts.

I also tried a couple other subscription plugins with identical results (well, NON results).

My host admin tells me that small sites (such as mine) will not send out emails because they are not set up to manage the spammers etc. Therefore none of the subscribe plugins will work on websites hosted by these small sites.

He suggested that I use Feedburner. It is free and seems to do everything one could want from a subscription add-on. And it seems simple to set up.

    I’m having the same problem.
I use Weaver 2.2.4 in WordPress Version 3.2.1

I too am having the same problem. Does anyone know of a good email subscribe plugin?
