ajax paging fails on default events page

  • Hi, I’m having issues with a paging on the default events page.

    Page 1 on the events shows fine, but when I click the page links at the bottom I just get the a spinner overlay. Looking at the browser network tab I see the request gets a 400 response!

    If I copy the paging url, e.g. https://hilly-yoga.co.uk/events/?pno=2 and paste it directly into a tab, it works ok. It’s only the JS event on the link that seems to get stuck.

    The events page /events/ is the one defined in the config as the default events page. If I create a separate page (not set in config) and add event search shortcode, then ajax paging works ok. It only seems to be an issue with the default events page.

  • To fix this change line 40 of wp-content/plugins/events-manager/em-functions.php from this:

                    $data_atts = 'data-em-ajax="'.esc_attr(build_query($data)).'"'; //for inclusion later on

    To this:

                    $ajax_data = $data;
                unset($ajax_data['header_format']);
                $data_atts = 'data-em-ajax="'.esc_attr(build_query($ajax_data)).'"'; //for inclusion later on

    Hopefully the plugin author will provide a fix for this in the next release.
