• Hello,

I have been googeling this a bit, but can’t seem to figure out what the cause is, and I know nothing of coding and AJAX and such things to even know where to begin.

What is happening is that I made a popup sign up form on my site connected to a mailchimp list. It worked fine when I tested it myself. Then I went to make a landing page for sign-ups as well. So I got Inbound Now’s Landing Page plugin, as well as their Call to Action and Leads plugins. I had some problems making it work with my mailchimp list, and got a little message saying AJAX was disabled. I eventually made the landing page work with my list, but now, suddenly the popup doesn’t work. My sister tried to sign up and couldn’t as the AJAX does not work..

How do I fix this? Where do I even begin?

Is there any chance you could link the page with the issue?

    Here’s the page:

I removed the popup for now, as I will wait until this is resolved to put it back up

Sorry I’m not sure how we’re going to be able to see the popup issue then

Try the link now, the popup should be there

I might be being very blind, but I can’t see where this (broken) popup form is.

must not have popped up then… I did reactivate it.. You can’t miss it, it will cover the page

There aren’t any JavaScript errors, or other errors, being generated and so it looks like the issue is specific to a plugin; for some reason the plugin that’s responsible for the lightbox isn’t running its code. I’m not familiar with this plugin, what is the name of it?

    Thread Starter IdleWanderer

    (@idlewanderer)

he name of the plugin is OptinMonster, made by the guys at wp-beginners

I feel it started acting up first when I got the mailchimp integration plugin from the Inbound Now people, maybe it can’t work with the mailchimp integration specifically made for optinmonster?

So OptinMonster did the AJAX and Mailchimp did the popup?

    Thread Starter IdleWanderer

    (@idlewanderer)

OptinMonster did the popup, but mailchimp takes over once you have signed in you name and pressed enter

Oh right I see an error now, I think which ever plugin is processing the AJAX needs to be looked at. So I think you need to post on your plugin’s support section, even just to investigate this, because debugging the issue requires knowledge of this plugin.

Do you think it might be the two mailchimp integration plugins for the optinmonster and landing page that might be causing this? And if so, how would I make them both work?

Yes if you’ve identified that neither can work together then one of them is responsible for the issue. And the only way you’ll be able to make them work together is find out what the problem really is and rectify that. Which plugin is doing the AJAX?

    Thread Starter IdleWanderer

    (@idlewanderer)

I am pretty sure it is the mailchimp integration part of the optinmonster plugin that is running the AJAX

    Thread Starter IdleWanderer

    (@idlewanderer)

I will ask the guys at wpbeginner to see if they can solve this perhaps. As the other mailchimp plugin for the landing page is working fine.

Thank you so much for helping me out and narrowing it down to what is most likely causing the issue!
