    Hi guys,
I updated the plugin from 7.3.2 to 7.4.2 in a staging site and that caused 403 error at /wp-content/plugins/wpdiscuz/utils/ajax/wpdiscuz-ajax.php 403

I deactivated all plugins, didn’t help
The production site (not updated) is working fine.

    I appreciate your help,
    Ian

    Hello Ian,

Somehow, the wpdiscuz-ajax.php file is blocked. Probably it’s done by other plugins/theme or by server-side.

Please navigate to Dashboard > wpDiscuz > Settings > General Settings admin page, enable the “Use WordPress native AJAX functions” option, delete all kinds of caches (CDN, website, wpDiscuz, browser) and check again.

If the native WordPress admin-ajax.php file is also blocked, please check your security plugin options and make sure they don’t block the WordPress AJAX. This could also be blocked by the .htaccess file, so please contact your server support with this question.

    Hi,
Thank you for your reply. Enable the “Use WordPress native AJAX functions” did the job, so it’s solved.
    Best regards,
    Ian
