Ajax error on dashbaord – windows install

Just to join in on this one. I’m actually seeing the exact same error on my new install. Experiment are working, just the Dashboard gets that error.

I see. Can you take a look at the Browser’s Developer Tools and see if it gives you any more information about the AJAX error? These occur between your server and your browser, so there’s little I can do as a third-party.

Alternatively, contact us via e-mail (customers at nelio software dot com) and we can take a look at it directly.

I had the same problem. I deactivated Wordfence and it worked fine.

But I don’t want to leave Wordfence deactivated.

Indeed, there is. Under Wordfence ? Firewall, you need to add the following exception:

• URL: /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php
• Param: request.body[filename]

And that’s it!

I don’t remember exactly the UI of Wordfence. However, once you’ve added the exception, it has to look like this image. You have to add an exception for a request.body parameter whose name is filename (and exactly filename; no spaces, no hyphens… just filename).

Right, added the exception. No changes. Even disabled the Wordfence … still getting this annoying error =(
