Ajax Comments on Index Page

So, I’m attempting to build a blog that runs entirely within the index.php. This is what I have so far.

When you click on “Show/Hide Comments (#)” the comments area slides into view, including the text area and the submit button.

I installed an Ajax commenting plugin that works fine on the permalink, but when I press the submit button in the comment area on the index page, it redirects me to the permalink.

I’ve tried a handful of modifications to no avail. Any insight into this problem would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your help.
