Ajax Calendar widget error, shortcode not working

  • I just upgraded to the new version of the Ajax Event Calendar 1.0.2 and replaced the shortcode to [eventlist] as the website said, but I continue to have the widget showing a yellow box with error messages in it. Everything else about the Calendar seems to be working fine, but I can’t get the widget to show properly.
    I get the ” IMPORTANT: As of version 1.0.1, this widget has been removed from the Ajax Event Calendar plugin. Instead, use the [eventlist] shortcode explained here.
    The shortcode offers more customization and placement options than the old widget, explained here.
    I went to the website and tried several different html codes to no avail. Pretty frustrated, because the old version seemed to work really great in my mind.
    So what am I missing here? What else can I try or are they not telling us here?
