Ajax breaks the product slider

When the page/section is reloaded by Ajax, the slider breaks. It changes from horizontal to vertical and is no longer a slider. For example, when it is placed in the cart collaterals section of the woocommerce cart, which is typically where cross-sales go, it breaks whenever the cart is updated by ajax. Also, wherever it is displayed, is there a way to get it to start horizontally instead of starting vertically and then jumping to a horizontal layout once it calculcates the sizes? The layout shift is not ideal for Google’s page experience metrics.
