    Hi everyone!

I’ve never used Woo Commerce before. I am currently using the Airi theme and I’d like to use the Storefront theme for Woo Commerce but I do not want my website theme to change.

    My questions:

    1) Does Storefront work separate from my website theme?
    2) If so, will installing Storefront mess up my Airi theme?

    Thanks so much!

  • We get to use (activate) one theme at a time.

In this situation, since the Airi theme has built-in support for WooCommerce, we can just keep using Airi theme and install WooCommerce as a plugin, and that’s it.

If you like Storefront theme and want to keep using your currently in used theme too, just setup a subdomain for shop, it would look like this https://shop.example.com. Keep your main site as usual with a link to your subdomain (shop) site in the menu, keep the design (logo, color scheme) the same between 2 sites. So we have 2 websites with 2 WP installations. There are pro and con of doing this, but more of the pro in my opinion. Before doing this, make sure the hosting package support more than one site.

    Hi @heygirlmarketing ,

Adding to what @paulwp mentioned above, WooCommerce is a plugin for WordPress – it is a part of WordPress and you won’t be able to use separate themes for your site and for your shop, unless you intend to create a separate site for your online store.

Having said that, Storefront is one of the many available themes that support WooCommerce, so it is not compulsory to use Storefront in order to use WooCommerce.

Airi already supports WooCommerce, so you can use all the WooCommerce functionality with Airi.

On checking further, I see that Airi has a demo of their Shop setup with WooCommerce as well, you can find it here: https://athemes.com/airi-demos/ (Select the Shop filter).

    I hope this helps.
