    Hi,

I have noticed that on several sites that I maintain, the AIOWPS plugin gets deactivated every once in awhile. I have started keeping a log of when this happens, I was just reactivating at first, but have begun noticing it on more sites and more frequently. I did not deactivate the plugin and my clients did not deactivate it, so do you have any idea what is happening. I also use WordFence on most of my sites as there are some features that differ. Could there be some type of conflict with that or other plugins that would cause AIOWPS to deactivate?

Yes, it could be that you are enabling two similar features in either plugin that might be conflicting with one another. Perhaps you might like to try something to verify this theory of mine. If the issue is happening in a site that has both plugins installed, then carry out the following. Deactivate WordFence and only leave AIOWPS active. Then keep monitoring this site to make sure AIOWPS does not get deactivated.

Let me know how you go.

    Thank you

Deactivating WordFence is not a troubleshooting solution that works for me, especially from a security standpoint, since this only seems to happen every once in a while and I have no way to know which sites will be affected (it’s been random). this would not be very helpful. If WordFence is deactivated for any reason I get an email notification. If AIOWPS had that feature at least I would know right away and turn it back on and see if there is anything in the logs. So please consider adding that feature. Thank you.

What feature are you referring too?

    Thank you

    Hi, As I wrote above:

So the feature would be to receive a notification if AIOWPS is deactivated. Hope that can be worked into a future release.

    Thank you!

Thanks for the suggestion. I will put this on the list of potential future features.

Having said that and more importantly, this plugin should not be deactivating mysteriously and if that is actually happening on your site you should find the cause of the issue. I recommend you do some troubleshooting and looking into your web server log files to see if there are any errors or logs related to the issue. If you do not know how to find your server logs, ask your host support people who will be able to get them for you.

Thanks for the tip, but unless I know the date that it was deactivated it would be very difficult to find in the logs. That why I suggested the notification. That would hopefully give me the date and time it was deactivated and give me a place to look in the logs. Hope this can be implemented soon. Thanks again!
