I am trying to add keywords to individual pages on the site preemptivetest.com.
Within the AIOSEO settings in Search Appearance > Advanced, there is an option to toggle keywords on and off. Every time I save the settings with the toggle ON, it just reverts back with them OFF.

@laragp Does this happen with any other setting under Search Appearance or Search Appearance > Advanced?

Does this happen if you deactivate all other plugins and switch to the default Twenty Twenty-One theme?

Can you open the browser error console by right clicking anywhere on the screen and selecting Inspect and then clicking on the Console tab and then reload the screen and try again, do you see any errors in red in the error console?

When I open the browser error console, I see this error:

Error in parsing value for ‘pointer-events’. Declaration dropped.

Additionally, under the Sitemaps section, any selections I make within Additional Pages and Advanced Settings will not save.

@laragp Can you please provide a full screen of the browser including the error console showing that error please.

When I turn on meta-keywords in Search Appearance, or try to save settings in the Advanced Settings or Additional Pages fields in Sitemaps, they are not saved. This is what the console looks like. Thanks!

@laragp Those are just warnings. Errors would be in red.

FYI.. There’s no reason to add meta keywords to your site content. Meta keywords aren’t used in modern SEO and search engines such as Google ignore them.

Right, we actually aren’t that concerned about the meta keywords now. But it seems to be a general issue with the plugin not saving certain settings. We do need to use the Additional Pages and Advanced Settings within the Sitemap section, and those settings will not save either.

If you’re still unable to save settings after you’ve deactivated all other plugins and switched to the default Twenty Twenty-One theme then please contact us here https://aioseo.com/contact/. Click on the Complete a Form button and make sure to provide the URL for this forum thread and mention my name, Steve.

Yes, it still happens unfortunately. Thanks for your help so far! I’m submitting a support form.

@laragp The problem is caused by a plugin called JWT Auth on your site. If you’re not using that plugin then you should remove it.
