Using the following link with AIOSEO deactivated works fine:
    mydomain.com/checkout/?clear-cart&add-to-cart=943
It clears the cart and places product ID 943 into the cart.

With the AIOSEO enabled, the following error appears: “Product is already in the cart.” Same result with other product IDs.

Problem only manifests itself for unauthenticated users. Once a user is logged it, there’s no error message under the same test.

URL without the “clear-cart” parameter also works fine. The issue appears to be only associated with the “clear-cart” parameter and only while AIOSEO is activated.

  • Hi @jlstysis,

Thanks for reaching out and bringing this to our attention!

Can you please confirm if you have the Crawl Cleanup feature On? If yes, can you try reproducing the problem after turning it Off?

Here are the steps to find the Crawl Cleanup feature and turn it Off:

    1. Open your WordPress Dashboard.
    2. Navigate to All in One SEO > Search Appearance and switch to the “Advanced” tab.
    3. In the Advanced tab, find the “Crawl Cleanup” option.
    4. If the Crawl Cleanup is On, please turn it Off.
    5. Click the “Save Changes” button to save your changes.
    6. And now, try reproducing the problem.

    Let me know the result.

    Thanks!

It appears that AIOSEO strips “clear-cart&” from the URL and leaves only /cart/?add-to-cart=943
    or /checkout/?add-to-cart=943

    That did it!
More specifically, setting “Remove Query Args” to NO under Crawl Cleanup.
Thank you so much for your help!
