When updating AIO to 2.0 i got these two advices with debug enabled:

Notice: register_setting was called with a deprecated argument by version 3.5! Option group “privacy” was removed. Use another options group.. in /home/servername/public_html/wordpress/wp-includes/functions.php on line 2923

Notice: add_settings_field was called with a deprecated argument by version 3.5! The privacy option group was removed. Use another settings group.. in /home/servername/public_html/wordpress/wp-includes/functions.php on line 2923

  • Rics1983,

All in One SEO Pack doesn’t use these functions and makes no mention of the privacy option group; could you find out where those functions were being called from?

Now that i think well, option group reminds me Advanced custom fields, but on the backend there aren’t any option group called “privacy”.

I’ll check the other plugins, but that’s strange, maybe i’ve to check also the DB for some meta field called “privacy”…

Cheers and thank you for the support.

    Rics1983,

They moved the privacy settings around in 3.5, I know “Search Engine Visibility” is now under Reading, for example. Cheers.

I’m sorry Peter, who are you referring to with “they”?

The WordPress Core Team; Settings -> Privacy no longer exists in 3.5.

Oh, yes, i’ve noticed that when they released 3.5
So, you think that it could be something with that setting?

    Rics1983,

Yes, you probably have a plugin that’s trying to add something to that page, but the page no longer exists in WordPress. All in One SEO Pack has its own settings pages, and doesn’t try to add any options anywhere else within the core WordPress settings pages.

    Ok, that’s clear.
I’ll investigate and if i find something i’ll keep you updated. ??
