Why did you not inform me CleanTalk blocks Ahrefs crawler bots.

I have found out this by myself recently!

You have to always inform about this all CleanTalk clients before its installation! Note my remark.

It’s a bug with the SpamFireWall option.

It will be fixed in the next plugin release.

    Thank you.

We’ve analyzed requests from the Ahrefs IP addresses and found search spam requests.

Please, go to your Anti-Spam logs, choose needed request and click “Details”. There you’ll see the text of the request. And it’s obviously spam text.

What is the issue for my site?

We have replied to you via Ticket #16061. This is a bug with the SpamFireWall option. Turn off the SpamFireWall feature to prevent Ahrefs blocking.

WordPress Admin Page —> Settings —> Anti-Spam by CleanTalk —> disable “SpamFireWall” —> Save Changes.

It is a temporary solution until we release a new stable version of anti-spam.

Did you notice that I added Ahrefs IP to whitelist ?

    Yes, we saw that.

Unfortunately, we didn’t fix it yet. We plan to fix it on this work week.

    Please, wait.
