• Hi all,

Upon opening my site in IE 6-8 it loads thing’s perfectly but the second you interact with the WP-Content-Slideshow at the top it fall’s apart & doesn’t display things correctly?

Firefox/Chrome works perfect! No problems at all! But IE can’t handle the code & i’m losing visitors because of it.

I’m also having problem’s with it displaying the correct font’s on the various heading’s in IE? I read that this can be down to the font format in “Font Uploader”. It’s set as an .OTF originally then in the IE options & advanced IE Custom elements .eot.

    Any ideas people?

    Cheers

  • I’ve bashed my head into numerous workstations because of IE. Unfortunately, there is still a VERY large number of IE users in Computerland.

I think we should organize a revolt… or an awareness group and get everyone in the world to switch to a “real” browser ??

Tell me about it mate! According to Google Analytics 35% of my viewers use IE 6-8 & will see my website this way. If I enter my site the way it is displayed i’d close the browser right away which is pretty much what they are doing! I need to fix it ASAP but I have no idea where to start.

    What’s your URL?

Oh sorry I forgot to attach – https://www.muscle-munch.com

Yeah, it happened to me also.

Is this a theme feature? Or is it something you coded into your site?

A webdesigner did it for me but he’s gone traveling now. I have an idea how it all work’s and i belive it’s some jquery that IE can’t read correctly where as Chrome/FX can. As for the font stuff I’m not quite sure?

I just checked it with IE9, 64-bit. Looked fine. Changing that to IE7 in standards mode and again looked fine. IE7 in quirks mode however had your header way over to the right, so perhaps thats something to look at – whatever is at the top of the file causing it to trigger quirks mode?

    Regards
