We are frequently getting this warning in our logs, is there any way to stop it?

[Mon May 04 11:05:01.801581 2020] [proxy_fcgi:error] [pid 32052:tid 140585453156096] [client 35.189.235.119:55322] AH01071: Got error ‘PHP message: PHP Warning: preg_match(): Compilation failed: quantifier does not follow a repeatable item at offset 0 in /var/www/vhosts/SITE/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/w3-total-cache/PgCache_ContentGrabber.php on line 946

    How can this be resolved??

    Hello @keepsmilyn

I am sorry about the issue you are experiencing and I am happy to help!
This means that you have invalid regexp when excluding a page from being cached in Peformance>Page Cache>”Never cache the following pages”
Also check if you entered the same page twice.
Please check the FAQ page for detailed instructions and this article may help you also.
    Thank you!

“Never cache the following pages” option under Performance > Page Cache is empty on our website.

We do have entries in “Cache exception list:” however. Maybe thats conflicting also.

I remember having entries in there for our woocommerce store so have put them back (as they are critical for our site). So now it includes the following only:

    shop*
    cart
    checkout
    wp-.*\.php
    index\.php
    /?fl_builder
