Age Restricted Products

I don’t believe WPEC has such option either. In addition this doesn’t seem like a feature that should be added to the core but instead a plugin that works alongside. Because majority of the people will not use this feature. So instead of bloating the core plugin, an add-on plugin should suffice.

Also, depending on country/state regulations, websites require an age verification on landing on the site period. So if this is the case, you would ONLY need to implement this on your site and not your e-commerce plugin. Because once they have verified their age, they are free to use your site in full. But again, check with your local laws in this regard.

I agree regarding the functionality of the plugin, but WPEC gives you the option for purchasers to have to fill in a form prior to purchasing an item. You design the form with a radio/tick box to confirm that they agree to being over a certain age & you’re done.

Do you/anyone know if such a plugin exists for WooCommerce?

I know WooCommerce has a plugin “gravity forms product addon”. Perhaps this will serve the purpose similar to the form you mentioned in WPEC.

You can add the Age Verify Plugin to age verify the person coming into your website before they get to the home page.

Unfortunately Age Verify has too broad an approach for my purposes. I’ve just tried Age-Gate as you can specify exactly which page it protects, but it doesn’t interface with WooCommerce sadly. ie; activate it, set it all up, but age-gate will only show on every page except those generated by WooCommerce, which is where I need it ??
