Age gate with JWPlayer 6

You need to download this plugin from – https://www.pluginsbyethan.com/agegate6.html, and host it yourself, but it will work with JW6.

You need to download the agegate js file from that site. Host it on your own server. Then in your shortcode you can add plugins=”https://www.yoursite.com/agegate.js” agegate.minage=”10″ agegatge.cookielife=”0″ , for example. You do need to change those values as you please though.

Hmmm I must be doing something wrong.

I’ve tried placing that file on the root of my server as well as in the sub folder I’m currently using for testing, but the video will just not show when I add the above plugin shortcode.

I added your bit of code and placed the file on the root of my server and the player no longer displays. The entire code is;

I’m wishing I had never paid for this Premium V6.. Nothing works as advertised with your WP plugin without one stumbling over hours of google searches finding bits and pieces!
Really wish you guys would have put MUCH of JWPV6 for WordPress is extremely limited because it “isn’t yet supported”!

Plugins themselves are not really supported in JW6, as we have no AddOns library any longer. The only plugins are ones made by 3rd party developers. I am working on a demo of doing an AgeGate method with just simply using our JavaScript API, so no plugin will be needed for it to work.
