• Since I am not getting an answer to my first support request, I will start another one, and explain the problem as simple as I can:

I need to create a new item “child item” that is a multiple of its “parent item”.

For example: I have the item “Sweet Apple”, SKU-1, with a quantity of 100 in stock. Now I set up a new product that is called “5 Sweet Apples” with SKU-2.

If someone orders 1x SKU-2 “5 Sweet Apples”, the stock value of the parent item SKU-1 “Sweet Apple” drops to 95.

If 95 “Sweet Apples” are in stock, the available quantity for “5 Sweet Apples” must be automatically set to the correct value of 19. It must not be possible to order, for example, 22 x SKU-2 “5 Sweet Apple”.

There will be NO user interaction allowed to modify the quantity of the items in the bundle (or call it what you want). But this is being taken care of by us. So no worries or comments about “but the customer can modify it” please.

Note: WooCommerce is only the backbone in this setup, it is not the storefront to order the products. The products are ordered on different marketplaces through channel integration software – the reason why customers can’t modify quantities inside the bundle.

Question: Which of your plugins will do the trick, and how to set it up?

    Hi @volkerforster ,

    Thanks for the question.

After re-reading your description again, I think there are some points about our plugin that I should mention for your references:

In your previous thread, I recommended the WPC Product Bundles plugin.

    – On the bundle page, stock will be checked based on the individual bundled sub-products. However, this will not be checked until customers press the Add to Cart button.
You can see this video for more info: https://www.screencast.com/t/q8mLDlOkB

    – We have received some reports about issues with integrating bundles into other online platforms such as Amazon, eBay using third-party extension. Our plugin calculates based on the real stock of individual sub-products, but some other extensions need synchronization or refresh to update the actual stock of bundles on those.

So you can consider these points before deciding to go with our plugin.

    Best regards.
