• Hello,

as before, we have to report a problem with WordPress and Yoast Premium, both most recent version. Some posts have correct canonical with trailing slash, others are missing that slash; in both cases the URL with a trailing slash is correct and set up.

So, why is the trailing slash missing for some posts ?

    Hi,

Whether a page URL has or not a trailing slash is based on your WordPress permalink settings. This is not something controlled by the Yoast SEO plugin but a default WordPress setting. So, you can add a trailing slash to all your URLs automatically by going to the Settings Menu in your WordPress backend -> Permalinks.

Our plugin uses the permalink settings defined under Settings > Permalinks to determine whether a trailing slash should be added to your URLs. This ensures consistency across your website. If you have the trailing slash at the end of the permalinks settings, then any non-trailing slash URLs from your website should automatically redirect to the same URL with the trailing slash (or vice versa).

You’ve mentioned that this issue occurs with Yoast SEO Premium. Do you have an active premium subscription? If so, please do contact us directly so we can provide you with support – https://yoast.com/help/support/#premium

    Hi,

yes, understood; but: the settings are the same for all pages; there is only one setting. It works w/ trailing slash for all pages, just like set up. But once i activate Yoast Premium, only some pages have trailings slash, other dont. If i deactivate it, its fine.

So its directly related to Yoast, im sorry …

    How to continue ?

    Hi,

It looks like something we might need to check on further with your specific site and setup regarding the trailing slash and how it appears for your URLs.
