    HI,
    again I have a (Not finished) backup whit updraftplus.
    The backup attempt has finished, apparently unsuccessfully
    what could be the cause please let me know?
    I completely lost now.
    last time I had to authorize again with dropbox, I don’t know what it is now.

    Hi Renate,

    The log shows “6182.609 (4) Dropbox: exception (Dropbox_BadRequestException) occurred whilst getting account info: Error in call to API function “users/get_space_usage”: request body: expected null, got value”

    Can you please try to re-authenticate to your Dropbox account from UpdraftPlus > Settings, save the settings and re-run the backup process.

    hi,
    I did another authorization and this went well.
    Success: you have authenticated your Dropbox account.
    Your Dropbox account name: Apo ton lofo1

    then did the backup again and again received an error.

    can you help me on my way to solve this because I really don’t know how to do this.
    there is a document about how the backup procedure works and what to look out for if it goes wrong.
    do the files remain on the server for all backups?

    Hi,

    Please can you update the plugin to latest version 1.16.16?
    Then, could you try to reduce the backup archive split size. This will split the backup into smaller, more manageable files.

    To do this, open the ‘expert settings’ section of the UpdraftPlus Settings tab, and find the ‘split backups every’ option. Set this to 25Mb, save your settings and run a new process.

    Hi, I did the steps as described by Bryle but not a good result.

    still get the notice:
    0159.366 (0) There were errors in the uploads, so the ‘resume’ event is remaining scheduled
    0159.369 (0) Rescheduling resumption 1: moving to 100 seconds from now (1565451993)
    0159.371 (0) The backup has not finished; a resumption is scheduled

    I also see this now in the shedule screen:

    Web server disk space in use by UpdraftPlus: 646.7 MB refresh

    Before the setting change to 25 mb it was around 316, mb.

    Hi,

    Apologies for the late reply.

    It still shows that the backup process is timed out or killed off. This is usually due to server resources reaching its limits.

    Please ask your hosts/server admin to investigate their PHP error logs. These logs should contain more information on the exact issue that is causing the backup process to halt.

    Hi Bryle,
    I have made free space on my server but still not yet a good backup.

    Question: Can I delete the backups in updraftplus but not from the external storage?
    since I store 6 version I can still delete the 4 former version on the server but not on the external storage.
    when I do rescan remote storage with the button, I still get my backups back in the list!

    please let me know if I delete the storage space on the server.
    i have to make a backup frist before i can test my site form php 7.

    Hi,
    I can’t wait to make the backup. I have deleted the bakup files from the server and tried to make a backup again. this was again unsuccessful.

    Hi,
    I cleaned my site with WP-Optimize – Clean, Compress, Cache
    and I have been given room to make the backup.

    question:
    I had to set the setting to 25 mb but I now get 16 zip files on the external storage. can I set the setting back to 400 mb?
    this is what i have to do :

    Yes, you can adjust the split archive size depending on what works best on your server.
