Again and again: pll_language

  • Dear Polyalang-Team,

    I tried to deactivate the cookie in wp-config as follows:

    /* suppress polylanguage cookie */
    define( ‘PLL_COOKIE’, false);
    define( ‘PLL_LANGUAGE’, false);
    define( ‘pll_language’, false);

    /* That’s all, stop editing! Happy publishing. */

    But the Cookie still appears before the User gave admission to the use of cookies.

    I also tried to deactivate the cookie via the Plugin “Complianz” (define it as a Marketing-Cookie), but it’s still loading before admission.

    I’m going completely crazy, this can’t be!

    Have now tried all possible combinations (wp-config, Complianz, Cache, Phast Press enabled, disabled), but only disabling the Polylanguage plugin helps. I will look for a GDPR-compatible alternative. I’m sorry.
