Again: 500 Internal Server error when going to /wp-login.php during setup

  • I am trying to install a new WordPress 2.7.1 (ES) site but I cannot seem to get it to work and everytime encounter the 500 Internal Server error in the next step, /wp-login.php, after /wp-install.php.

    I allready have installed two websites using wordpress and stumbled on problems as well but everytime was able to solve it. With this new version I cannot seem to get it to work while the hosting is the same and everything. I compared my other sites with this one but it won’t work and cannot see any differences. Since I want to install more sites using wordpress in the future I really want to know what causes this error.

    I have read all posts in this forum but am still not able to get it to work. I cab really use some help and perhaps somebody can have a look at my FTP if I provide the login detaisl by mail. THANK YOU EXPERTS!!

    oh lucky you, I get stuck at the install.php now.
    Seems there is something weird with this version.
    have been contemplating installing an older version and to hell with it ??
    First time I got stuck was same as you, at login.php. Then re-installed it, and now stuck at install.php, isn’t that great.
