After X posts only on first page?

I have chosen “between posts” with a “2” filter and the only check marked is “Homepage”. It works fine on my home page (it is a normal post list). But the ad appears on page/2/ page/3/ etc of the site too, is there a way to prevent this?
I believe my theme follows WP standards.
