First after upgrading WP to 4.4 and then noticing that SPC needed an upgrade, I followed along.

I could no longer access Products or Product Categories. I deactivated the plugin and then reactivated, and those links in the admin console did come back, however, there are still issues.

I go to add a product, I can only “Submit for Review” – Even though I’m logged in as administrator, I can’t “release” or “approve” the product.

I tried the original trick – deactivate and reactivate the plugin, and no better. I uninstalled the cart and reinstalled it, with the same result.

Strangely, on deactivate, I see this error pop up (and quickly disappear) — just long enough to screen shot it.

It says: Warning: Call_user_func_array() expects parameter 1 to be a valid callback, class ‘Sunshine’ does not have a method ‘deactivate_license’ in /(path to my WP instance).

Seems the fremium DRM stuff is getting in the way of the core product functionality — I hate it when that happens. ??

I hope the sunshine folks are reading this – I clicked on “submit a support ticket” in the online menu, and it keeps asking for an account, which I don’t have, and there’s no place to register. Quite confusing, and likely the result of the line between the free product and the paid being blurred or forgotten.

I have not tried adding a new gallery since this upgrade, but on the new gallery page, it does offer “publish” rather than “submit for review”

I hope this can be fixed, since I am using this for a non-profit, and we are on the verge of kicking off some fund raisers.

  • I just released Sunshine 2.2.4 which should address.

The issue was that Sunshine is supposed to save what currently active version is installed to the database. When you update, it checks the version number in the files to the version number in the database. If the new set of files has a higher version number, it should run the update function. It appears since the release of 2.0, Sunshine never added the version number to the database and with an empty version number to compare it was never running the update process.

As for the Premium support tickets, those are only for active license holders of Pro or those who have purchased an add-on within the last 30 days.

Another issue I have found is if you only have local pickup enabled in shipping it keeps asking for shipping address on checkout so clients can not checkout!

Seeing this error on checkout also
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /public_html/clients/wp-content/plugins/sunshine-packages/packages.php on line 467

Confirmed this issue with local pickup only, another bug release going on. Sorry for the repeated releases lately.

2.2.5 addresses this and has been released
