After WordPress update the submit spins endless

  • Hi,

    after updating from 4.9.3 to WP 4.9.6 it is not possible to submit the forms. The arrows will spin endless. nothing else changed, no plugins, no form changes. Only if you are logged into wordpress the submit will be successful.

    Disabled CF7 Optimizer plugin and now it’s working for us again.

    Migrated to another plugin. I had no CF7 optimizer installed.

    @vanve you likely had a JavaScript Conflict on your theme or one of the plugins you are using. The JavaScript is crashing on the problem item and preventing Contact Form 7’s JavaScript from running.

    CF7 Optimizer is a well known conflict & it looks like it was removed from the plugin directory (which is why @awakened888 was able to solve their problem).

    But there are many other poorly written themes & plugins which cause problems with using Contact Form 7.

    Others having similar problems should switch temporarily to a WP default theme & disable all plugins other than Contact Form 7 to see if the problem goes away.

    If it does you can switch back to your theme & re-activate each plugin one by one to see when the problem occurs.
